Charm Beach Resort is a quiet family-run resort located at Bang Charu beach, at the south-west of Koh PhaNgan, just 5 minutes drive from the main port town of Thong-Sala. The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly, and the resort is especially suitable for families, due to its central location, big rooms and the unique kids-playground.
This area of the island tends to be quiet, and the resorts are spaciously placed along the shore line, providing serenety and the genuine Koh PhaNgan feeling.
Charm beach offers a wide range of accomodation to suit every one's taste and budget.
There are basic fan bungalows, which although simple, provide the added benefit of being right on the white sand beach.
The rest of the rooms at Charm Beach resort are all equiped with Air-conditioning, hot water and a bathtub. This last item is quite rare among the resorts at Koh PhaNgan, as most of them have only showers.
There are five Type A rooms, with A/C, mini-bar, 2 double beds, hot shower and bathtub, and furniture such as a large closet, a make-up table with mirror and more. The large veranda outside offers sea and garden views.
These rooms are suitable for a family or a couple of friends who want to enjoy the high-standard while saving costs.
The eight type B rooms are a bit smaller, and suitable for singles and couples. Some of them are placed at the beach-front and some in the garden. They include air-conditioning, one double and one single beds, a bathtub with hot water, and some furniture. The veranda outside offers ocean or garden views, and sometimes both.
The type C rooms, located right at the beach, are basic fan bungalows which are a favorite among those on a budget, as well as returning visitors who stay for extended periods of time.
There are also hotel-style rooms at the newly-built concrete building.
The two type D rooms are spacious and elegant, with air-conditioning, a double bed, a large comfortable sofa, bathtub with hot water, a large closet and a make-up table.
The bigest room at Charm Beach resort is the type E room, also located at the second floor of this building. It's similar in style to the type D rooms, but bigger, with 2 double beds, air-conditioning, a beautifull bathtub with hot water, a large elegant sofa, mini-bar, a large closet and small make-up table. It also has a spacious open balcony overlooking the ocean, with views of koh-samui in the distance. It is the perfect place to eliminate those stubborn tan-lines during daytime, to watch the afternoon sunset, and to count falling stars at night.
A unique facility at Charm-Beach resort is the kids playground, located between the restaurant and the beach. It is shaded by a huge tree, so the kids can play all day without worrying about the heat and the sun. It also serves as a chill-out area, with hammocks overlooking the ocean. It is a great place to pass the day in peace, read a book, take a nap, and stare at the ever-changing colors of the ocean.
The restaurant offers a range of Thai and western dishes at reasonable prices.
Other faclities include free snorkelling gear, Satellite & Cable TV, internet access, International phone Call & Fax, and some basic travel services.
