Long bay resort is located on the white-sand Haad-Yao beach, which is one of the best beaches in Koh Phangan for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. The resort features a large swimming pool, spacious air-con bungalows and a beach-front restaurant with great sunset views of the ocean and of Ang-Thong National marine park.
Long-Bay resort is among the top accommodation options at this part of the island.
It is nestled on the shore of Haad Yao beach on 37 rai (about 15 acres) along a 100 meter coastline.
Long-Bay resort has a large swimming pool which is located by the beach. The pool is surrounded by tall coconut trees, wide umbrellas and sun loungers.
There is also a small shallow pool for kids.
Long bay resort offers a range of bungalows, all with air-conditioning, a hot water shower, TV and a mini-bar, and a private porch. They are spacious, well furnished and offer great value for money.
The bungalows are set in lush tropical vegetation and manicured gardens. Some of them overlook the ocean, while some overlook the swimming pool or the tropical gardens.
The bungalows are suitable for singles, couples and small families. An extra bed is available for a small extra charge.
The best room at Long-bay resort is the VIP room, which is built, furnished and fitted to the higest standards and set directly on the beach. There are 2 beds - 1 double and 1 single.
This room is perfect for families and for a small group of friends.
The restaurant at Long-Bay resort is located directly on the beach and offers Thai seafood, American, Italian, continental cuisine and Vegetarian dishes.
The fresh catch of the day is served daily at sunset.
Haad-Yao beach (meaning "long beach" in Thai) is one of the best beaches in kohPhaNgan and offers year-round swimming and snorkeling along the coral reef. The beach is 1 Km long and offers enough space to sun bath on, play football, volleyball or badmington.
It is also a great place to watch the sunset over the distant Ang-thong national marine park.
At night you can go to one of the many beach-side bars and pubs.
Haad-yao beach is located at the north-west of Ko Pha Ngan, easily reachable by car or motorbike. Thong Sala, the main local town, is located 15 minutes drive to the south, while Haad-Rin, the center of the island's night life and the location of the monthly full moon party, is 30 minutes away.
